The Team

Clyde A. Paul is a lawyer and the owner of Clyde A. Paul & Associates Inc., and has practiced in Spryfield and surrounding communities his entire legal career. A graduate of Dalhousie University (Bachelor of Commerce 1970) and Dalhousie University (Bachelor of Law 1973), he has more than 40 years of experience in the practice of law, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to his preferred areas of practice in residential and commercial real estate, wills and estates and probate practice as well as corporate and commercial law. Clyde has always been actively involved in the community. He is a 41 year member of the Armdale-Fairview-Rockingham Lions Club and served over 30 years on the Halifax-Dartmouth Natal Day Committee, including serving as the Chair for 6 consecutive years. He has also served as the National Chair of the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guide Program. Always mindful of the need to serve his community and others, he continues serving all of these endeavours while at the same time serving his clients.

Peter J. Kashitis is a lawyer practicing with the law firm of Clyde A. Paul & Associates Inc., in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Peter is a graduate of Dalhousie University (Bachelor of Commerce, 1987) and the Dalhousie University School of Law (LL.B. 1990). He brings over 20 years of experience to his preferred areas of practice in family law, criminal law and adoptions.

Tim Cranston is currently focused on Business Law, Real Estate Law and Will & Estates. Prior to that, Tim practiced Commercial & Property Law in the United Kingdom from 1996-1999; Commercial, Sports & Entertainment Law with McInnes Cooper from 2000-2005, and from 2005 was In-House Corporate Legal Counsel for two marine bio-technology companies.  Tim graduated from the University of Durham (UK), with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours in 1993; the College of Law York (UK) with a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 1994; and from the Sobeys School of Business, Saint Mary’s University, with a Master of Technology Entrepreneurship & Innovation in 2016. He was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 1996 and the Nova Scotia Bar in 2001. He was appointed a Notary Public by the Lieutenant-Governor of Nova Scotia in 2003.  Tim is committed to public service and community work. He currently is: (MLA) Candidate-on-Record, for the Progressive Conservative Party, Halifax Atlantic; volunteer Legal Counsel to the Nova Scotia Nature Trust; Board of Directors Member of the Urban Farm Museum Society of Spryfield; Executive Board Member of Chebucto Minor Hockey and a hockey coach at the U11 “AA” level; Executive VP of the Central Minor Hockey League. Tim grew up in Fleming Heights. He went to school at Fleming Tower, John W. MacLeod, Cunard and JL Ilsley. As a CEO and co-founder of a marine bio-tech company, Natural Ocean Products Inc., he won the Nova Scotia Discovery Award (Innovation Category) for "Outstanding Achievement in Transforming Science and Technology in a Business Opportunity.
