LORRIE BOYLEN
Lorrie was born in Toronto with a pen in her hand. Her deep family roots in the Annapolis Valley left her longing for the east coast, and she moved to the Sambro area in 1994.
Lorrie spent over 35 years in the legal field in roles of administrative assistant, office manager, and certified court transcriber.
Lorrie manages the social media for the Spryfield Business Commission, is a regular contributor to the Chebucto News, and Community Contact for Sambro on CBC's Information Morning. She's also a member of the Board of Directors of the Sambro Area Community Association ("SACA") and owns and runs a 2 bedroom oceanfront Airbnb home in Sambro.

Located on the Melville Ridge Retirement Campus, Melville Gardens is a 91 unit facility which has 60 beds licensed by the NS Dept of Health as Level 1 Residential Care, while the remaining 31 beds are licensed as a Level 2 Nursing Home. The residential care units in Melville Gardens are an ideal place to live for someone who wishes to maintain as much of their independence as possible, but may require some supervision or assistance to perform their activities of daily living. Those who live in the Level 2 Nursing section of Melville Gardens require assistance and supervision when performing their activities of daily living.
Clients who live at Melville Gardens enjoy the activity program which keeps them enthused and involved with their neighbours. For their convenience there is also a hair salon, library and a multi-denominational chapel in the facility. Healthy meals and snacks are all prepared under the direction of our nutritionist and are enjoyed in the beautifully decorated dining area.
