Mike is a firm believer in “People Come First” and supporting local business. He is the founder of Hatter & Associates Insurance which is now part of the leading regional insurance brokerage, In addition to his Broker expertise, his extensive background covers various roles with a leading national insurer and an extensive network of clients throughout the region. He has earned the Chartered Insurance Professional and Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker designations and specializes in Commercial & Personal Insurance. Mike enjoys the opportunity to contribute to various volunteer boards over the years and is excited to be involved in the community where he grew up & the Hatter family lived for many years. Mike has been a board member with CDBC Bluewater, Halifax Executives Association, The Better Business Bureau, The Sackville Business Association, Various Insurer Advisory Boards and is a member of the Insurance Institute of Canada & Insurance Brokers Association of Canada. Mike has been actively involved in coaching minor sports and numerous charitable fundraising initiatives. In his spare time, Mike enjoys time with family, cycling, stained glass, woodworking and is an avid motorcycle & vintage auto enthusiast.
