In Loving Memory: Clyde A. Paul

Past Chairman of the Board

The Spryfield Business Commission honors the life and legacy of Clyde Paul, a man whose dedication to this community spanned nearly five decades. Born and raised in Halifax, Clyde was a proud alumnus of Dalhousie University, earning his Bachelor of Commerce (1970) and his Bachelor of Laws (1973). In 1974, Clyde established his legal practice right here in Spryfield. For over 47 years, he served the residents of this community with integrity and passion—a career marked by his 2016 appointment as Queen’s Counsel. Alongside his wife, Pat, Clyde was more than just a professional; he was a steadfast pillar of Spryfield, often remarking that he wouldn’t have changed a single day of his journey here. While Clyde has recently passed, his influence remains deeply engraved in the fabric of both this Commission and the community at large. He lived by the philosophy that “Some people dream of success, while others wake up and work hard at it.” We continue our work in the spirit of that hard work and dedication, ensuring his legacy of service is never forgotten.
