A 2023 Digital Design graduate from Grand Canyon University in Arizona, Maria brings a creative background in animation and graphic design to the Halifax community. Since joining the Spryfield Business Commission in 2025, she has become an integral part of the team, where she combines her technical design skills with a passion for social media strategy. Maria loves the fast-paced nature of her role at the SBC and enjoys the continuous opportunity to expand her digital expertise while highlighting the community she now calls home. When she isn’t creating content or managing digital campaigns, Maria is a dedicated homebody. She loves spending quality time with her family, watching movies, listening to good music and experimenting with new dessert recipes in the kitchen. Staying true to her passion for lifelong learning, Maria is currently working on mastering French. She is fluent in both Spanish and English, and can also understand and hold conversations in Portuguese.
